Phil Fikes
Associate Attorney
Phil Fikes is a graduate of Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama, and an active member of the Alabama State Bar. Currently, Phil is an Associate Attorney with The Hazzard Law Firm, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Before joining the Hazzard Law Firm, Phil worked in both the public and private sectors, at the Jefferson County Public Defender’s Office and Gregory M. Varner & Associates.
Prior to practicing law, Phil was a member of the Faulkner Law Board of Advocates, an editor for the Faulkner Law Review, and served as the Faulkner Law Honor Court Chief Prosecutor. Phil earned invaluable experience during law school clerking for the State of Alabama Attorney General’s Office, The Office of Governor Kay Ivey’s Legal Counsel, and the Honorable Judge Chris McCool of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals.
Phil is an active member of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Birmingham Bar Association. Phil also serves as a team coach for the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Mock Trial Team.
